tbh that article was kind of a non-article. i’ll give her no points for bringing up the sherlock vs elementary fan-debacle as if that were legit (in large part because i imagine most of the american audience for elementary has no idea what sherlock is, nor gives two fucks. and with this in mind: things cbs creates may end up in the uk and while international sales are great hooray, i doubt they generally create anything for the uk market. please do correct me if i’m wrong on either/or/both counts though.) no points for saying joan watson is there just to stir up shit. but i give her half a point for acknowledging that the show is good.

she then loses the half-point for saying they could have just created any other bog-standard detective duo, but needed the holmesian aspect to get publicity. boring.

tagged as: caitlin moran. elementary. sherlock. i was going to award points. merely for the fact that she wasn't as obnoxious and horrible as victoria coren. but then realised that was a ridiculous thing to do.
